Welcome to; Muskoka,-  the 45th parallel, Bracebridge, and the Bracebridge Power Squadron, a division of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons.

You will know you are entering Muskoka when the rocky granite of the Canadian Shield and the white pine and birch trees begin to appear along

the side of the road. When you reach Bracebridge you will be half way to the North Pole, close to Santa’s Village and the beautiful Lakes of Muskoka (Muskoka, Joseph and Rosseau). The airport is located on the 45th parallel midway between Gravenhurst and Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada.

The Bracebridge squadron has been active since 1958 with our members boating not only on the three big lakes but also on Lake of Bays, Georgian Bay and numerous smaller lakes.  Our objective is to increase boating safety and enjoyment by providing training opportunities for members and the general public in seamanship and navigation for both power and sail. We are staffed strictly by volunteers whose passion is boating safely on the water. Please visit our “Course Link” for more information.

For information on local facilities of interest to visiting boaters please click on the  “Link” button above or contact our Port Captain Anita Bryant at earl.bryant@sympatico.ca

Why not join us for breakfast on the first Wednesday of each month at 0800 hrs. at Fresh Kutz Deli, 195 Wellington St.  Bracebridge.

See you on and off the water,   Jack McIrvine, Commander
